Buying from abroad

Banking, mortgages and signing remotely: what changes when you do not live in France.

A French bank account

You do not need one to buy, but it makes water, electricity and property tax easier. We can introduce you to a local bank used to foreign buyers.

A mortgage

French banks lend to non-residents, usually with twenty to thirty percent down. A broker speeds things up.

Signing without travelling

A power of attorney lets the notary sign on your behalf. Many of our buyers come for the viewing and come back for the keys.
